I'm currently reading Out by Natsuo Kirino, a  Japanese author. I like Kafka On The Shore by Haruki Murakami  as it's set in a Library and Murakami's books are interesting social commentaries and on the surreal side.  Thing is, I haven't finished Out and am due to discuss at a book club meeting. Hope no one tells me the ending or  I will be mortified.  Out is not for the faint hearted but good for fans of crime and thrillers.

Thing # 4 Flickr

I'm liking the search facility on Flickr as  I found some amur leopards. Some of the images are copyright restricted though.  It's easy to upload your own photos but I found it harder to store them in folders as the interface seems quite basic.  I like the fact it's a Yahoo product so  I didn't have to create yet another account! 

Student wisdom

I'm giving training all day today and the new search engine failed and one of my students said "Technology Eh? Hope you stress tested the product.''  Then later on, my bottle of water spilt over my bag and a student said ''Do you have anything in the bag, if so it will be wet''. I guess, I'm not having a good day but at least my students are intelligent!

Thing #3

    I've become slightly confused with my different blogs. I clicked sign in to Books and Leopards and it signed into my other work blog and not Books and Leopards.  Then I couldn't remember my other login wmin or westminster?  Managed to get in, now I've got 2 Google reader accounts as well. I've signed up to some news feeds and will reflect more later . Maybe I need a Blog management assistant!

Things #1 & 2

 

Thing 1 was quite an easy thing to get started, I enjoyed adding a game to my page as I quite like tetris etc. 

I've never been a great fan of blogs but because my blog (Thing 2)  is dedicated to my favourite things (ie. books & leopards), I'm liking them more. The only thing is I've got more than 1 blog now so I'm getting confused with my different logins...
